Electric Guitar Bodies for Sale

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

If you want a custom guitar body, but don’t have the tools or the time to make one yourself, here’s the perfect solution for you.  Stan Shields from The Inventing Shed sells one of a kind electric bodies that he has built with select woods.  I can personally attest to the quality of Stan’s Work… we own a stunning guitar built by The Inventing Shed.

Here’s a couple of bodies that Stan has for sale right now. If you’re interested in these bodies or would like to talk to Stan about having a custom body built for you, please contact Stan at The Inventing Shed

Priced at $349.00 The first body pictured above is a solid body Strat-style shape that is a little smaller and lighter than a standard Fender. It measures 12.0″ across the bouts and is 17″ long, it weighs 3lbs, 10 oz. The top is a beautiful piece of bookmatched burled maple with dramatic flame as well, 1/2″ thick. This top will be VERY 3D with a finish on it. The back is two-piece Alder with a curly Koa control cavity cover. Neck pocket is routed for a Fender Stratocaster-spec 25.5″ scale neck. Routed for a Fender-style six-hole tremolo tailpiece and three top-mount single coils. No pickguard is required (and a standard Strat pickguard will not fit). I have maple and Rosewood fingerboard necks available for this body as well. Photos were taken after misting with mineral spirits. We welcome questions and requests for more information.
